Shaping the Role of AI in Higher Education

April 29, 2026 (online) and April 30, 2026 (in-person)

Join us on Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, April 30, 2026 for the 17th Annual University of Waterloo Teaching and Learning Conference. Learn with instructors as they share their research, teaching strategies, and much more in interactive workshops, panel discussions, and presentations.

This year, we focus on the role of AI in teaching and learning and our role in shaping its use at UW.

We invite you to join us on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 (online) and Thursday, April 30, 2026 (in-person) to share your choices, actions, strategies, and practical recommendations when navigating this new world of machine-mediated learning.

Please note that the registration deadline is Wednesday April 15, 2026. Late registrations will be considered on a first-come first-served basis until Friday, April 24, 2026.

Note that participants who register after April 15, 2026 will not have personalized conference materials (i.e. name tag).

For questions about the conference, please contact Annik Bilodeau or Brianna Bennett. If you have any questions about registration, please contact University of Waterloo Conference Centre at accombook@uwaterloo.ca
